……….RATHER DEAD THAN ACCOUNTABLE.

Hey beautiful people!!! Wassuuuuuuppp???
It's another FABULOUS FRIDAY and Heaven knows i'm soooo excited that the weekend is finally here...(THANK GOD IT'S FRIDAAAY!!!)how has your week been? please, not as stressful as mine,i hope? It's been a crazy week, as a matter of fact, it started with a crazy sunday that has been infamously nicknamed "BLACK SUNDAY". Let me say that my heart goes out to all the families and friends that lost a loved one. Personally, i lost some good family friends, as a matter of fact, they were a couple and the hardest part is they've left 3 very young children. We may not understand why...but nothing can change the fact that God is still very good and He is faithful.

So in the spirit of this event, i have a guest blogger today and his depth is immense. This piece would rouse a lot of questions in your head and heart and cause you to think beyond your self. You would be moved to weigh today with tomorrow....ENJOY!

……….RATHER DEAD THAN ACCOUNTABLE(INSPIRED BY TRUE EVENTS)

                                               (By Oliver Twist)

Many might think this as a weird unusual thought or statement. Without a lot of bias, you are subject to your thoughts about everything I tell you and let me know if my school of thought differs, I w ill be glad to take a sneak view at yours #smiling#.

May the souls of all the faithfully departed aboard the Ill-fated Dana air flight that crashed on Sunday 03-06-2012 rest in peace. Amen.

Memories of incidents that Sunday evening still fill my thoughts. As I sat on my Yamaha bike(her name is Ogeh) with a couple of bikers at the car park of  Twin Peaks Lounge somewhere in Lekki ,we all chatted away recounting the democracy day ride to La campagne Tropicana. I looked over my shoulder and saw Femi, a fellow biker tucked away in a corner, talking to his Fiancée on the phone. He spoke for a while and came back to where we were parked (by the way, I love seeing people in love).

Before I move on, are you the protagonist of a single type of lifestyle or do you oft drift across all platforms of new media? Perhaps your vice is the fact that you broadcast every mundane detail of your life or every random message forwarded to you? Hmmmmmnnn……I refuse to be a student of this institution, so I decided to throw my phone in my riding jacket and enjoy the men’s discussion( I missed telling you that I wanted to get in the “love” groove myself so I tried calling my fiancée too ...all to no avail #sad face#). We‘ll come back to that.

I was jolted out of my thoughts when I heard a loud noise and turned around to see Femi on the ground in an unconscious state. Rushing to the spot where he had fallen with his bike beneath him, we hurriedly tried reviving him to a conscious state.  He sat up whispering, “Tinu could not have been on that flight”. I could not comprehend what he meant by that but we got him to sit up and relax …that was the Genesis of the Revelation i’m about to preach!

Femi Speaking; "I just called Tinu an hour or so before I saw this(showing a blackberry broadcast on his phone) and I promised to see her as soon as I was done with the boys since she said she was in a church program that will end at about 5pm"(at this point he was sobbing uncontrollably).
He continues; “at about 5pm I started calling her phone and it was unavailable, I sent her a couple of messages and it never delivered not knowing Tinu was aboard the flight that just crashed in Lagos!”... I froze on the spot where I stood and tears welled up my eyes.

I tried to comprehend how Femi felt at this point as I hurriedly reached for my phone to call my fiancée whom I had not been able to reach, though her phone rang, she still did not take my calls.

We got a friend to drop Femi off at home and I got on my bike and started riding home, so many thoughts flooded my head; Why did Tinu lie to her fiancee of her whereabouts? What was her mission in Abuja? How long had this been going on?....you can fill in the blank spaces on the thoughts you all have in your heads right now but it all ended when she died with the Lie she told and the True reason she traveled…. And I hope you are not about to judge me because I say the only reason why she lied was the fact that she went for something Femi would never have approved of. May her soul rest in peace.

For all you who are quick to judge me, whatever relationship you find yourself in, it is all about being accountable with every action you take or every activity you indulge in. We ought to be accountable to our partners irrespective of who they are or how irrelevant we think it is because accountability earns you Trust and every good relationship is built on Trust…#justsaying#
